RIP your favorite Agent.

Riot Games is readying a brand new Act of content for Valorant, and there are some major changes on the way. Not only is there likely a new map coming called Sunset, but there are also some sweeping nerfs to several of the game’s most popular Agents.

Valorant Agent Nerfs in Patch 7.04

While the below patch notes aren’t an exhaustive list of changes (they’ll be coming later this week), we do know of the nerfs that are occurring. Riot Games has outlined its intentions with the nerfs, describing them as wanting to:

  • Reduce the frequency of large area of effect of ultimates
  • Reduce the amount of time utility is active in the world
  • Reduce the HP of shootable utility
  • Increase the cost of ultimates that target larger area

So, how do the changes actually look? Well, you’ll see below some of Valorant’s most familiar names have received a big downgrade. In particular, Ultimates are going to be more scarce moving forward given that so many now require an additional orb.

That wraps up Valorant Patch 7.04 notes (so far). In related Valorant news, there’s apparently a movie in the works from a Chinese studio. Riot Games is stepping up its efforts in the region having recently launched the game there.
