Gimmie my bread! Er, I mean cookies...

World of Warcraft Classic’s Feast of Winter Veil is a seasonal event that offers a variety of festive activities, including the opportunity to bake yummy gingerbread cookies. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newcomer, this guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to make gingerbread cookies in WoW Classic.

Winterveil Gingerbread Cookie Walkthrough

The Feast of Winter Veil is an annual event in World of Warcraft Classic that brings joy and cheer to the realms. It’s a festival that celebrates the holiday season with a range of tasks for players. The event happens across all iterations of the beloved MMO, including Retail, Classic, and Season of Discovery.

Gingerbread Cookies are not just a festive treat in the game. They play a crucial role in the ‘Treats for Greatfather Winter’ quest. This particular quest can be activated in Orgrimmar or Ironforge, and it’s always located near the bank in each region.

Before embarking on the quest, there are a few prerequisites you must meet:

  1. Cooking Skill: You need to have at least a basic level of cooking skill, which you can learn from any trainer around the city.
  2. Character Level: It’s recommended that your character is at least level 10 to effectively complete the quest.

To start the quest, first, find Greatfather Winter. He is located next to the bank in Ironforge for Alliance players or Orgrimmar for Horde players.

How to Get Recipe Ingredients For the Cookies

Once you’ve found Greatfather Winter, you’ll notice a stall selling Winter Veil-related items nearby. Here, you’ll meet a goblin vendor who can sell you the Gingerbread Cookie recipe and the necessary ingredients.

For Alliance players, the vendor is Wulmort Jinglepocket, and for Horde players, it’s Penney Copperpinch. From them, you need to purchase the Gingerbread Cookie recipe and five units of holiday spices.

How to Make Gingerbread Cookies in WoW Classic

To make the Gingerbread Cookies, you will need one small egg and one portion of holiday spice. The holiday spice can be purchased from the goblin vendor. However, obtaining the small eggs can be a bit more challenging.

You have two options to get the small eggs. You can buy them from the Auction House, but they may be expensive due to their high demand during the Winter Veil event. The alternative is to collect them yourself. Alliance players can farm them from Mountain Buzzards in Loch Modan, while Horde players can get them from bird-like creatures in Mulgore.

Once you’ve gathered all the ingredients, it’s time to bake the cookies. You can do this anywhere in World of Warcraft with a cooking fire.

After baking the cookies, return to Greatfather Winter and present him with your freshly baked Gingerbread Cookies. Doing so will complete the ‘Treats for Greatfather Winter’ quest and earn you a reward.

Remember, the Feast of Winter Veil is a limited-time event, so make sure to complete the quest while the event is ongoing. Also, keep in mind that if your character is too low-level, you might not be able to activate the quest.

That’s all for making gingerbread cookies, but if you were playing Season of Discovery before Winter Veil then check out our Rune locations guides for each class — such as Rogues.
