If you’re looking to customize your ARK Survival Ascended experience, or if you’re a beginner looking to make your survival a little easier, console commands come in super handy. Here we’ll break down all cheats and console/admin commands in ARK Survival Ascended, so you can manipulate the game and enhance your adventure. We’ve recently updated this guide to include a list of all the Dino IDs, too, so you can now summon any creature you like. It’s right at the bottom of the article.
First, keep in mind that ARK cheats are mainly for single-player mode or a private server. In multiplayer, you can use cheats if you’re the server admin or have the admin password. Otherwise, cheats won’t work online.
Using Console in ARK Survival Ascended
To use console/admin commands, you’ll first need to access the console in ARK Survival Ascended:
- Settings > Advanced tab > Switch Console Access on
- PC: Simply press the Tab key or the ` or ~ key (usually located just below the Esc key). This will open the console command bar at the bottom of your screen.
- Console (Xbox/PlayStation): While playing, press LB + RB + X + Y on Xbox or L1 + R1 + Square + Triangle on PlayStation simultaneously to open the console command bar.
Now that you’ve got the console open, let’s explore some of the most useful and fun commands.
All ARK Survival Ascended Cheats & Console Commands
Below is a full list of all admin commands in ARK Survival Ascended. All you need to do is simply enter these in the console once you have switched the console access on. We’ve used <> to denote where the value or message you need to include would be placed.
- Set Cheat Player:
setcheatplayer trueto enable cheat commands.setcheatplayer falseto disable cheat commands.- This command toggles cheat commands on or off.
- Add Experience:
addexperience <amount> <from tribe share> <prevent sharing with tribe>- Example:
addexperience 50000 0 1 - This command adds experience points for leveling up and unlocking engrams.

- God Mode:
god- Grants invincibility, preventing damage from players, dinos, and more.
- Hide Tutorial:

- Hurt Me:
HurtMe <amount>- Inflicts damage on the player, useful for self-harm or suicide.
- Infinite Stats:

- Kick Player:
Kickplayer <player steamid>- Kicks a player from the server based on their Steam ID.

- On Toggle In Game Menu:
