Find your steed.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the penultimate quest, Reckoning, tasks you with stealing a few horses to help bring about the dramatic conclusion to the game. It sounds straightforward, but the challenge lies in infiltrating one of Sigismund’s camps to do so. At first glance, it may seem like the horses are right in the heart of the camp, but that’s not the case. If you’re having trouble locating them, here’s exactly where to find the steeds.

Where Are the Horses in the ‘Reckoning’ Quest?

The search area to find the horses is fairly large. You’ll need to sneak around the camp, avoiding enemy patrols and other hazards, to find the horses that will help end Suchdol’s siege. While you might think the horses are located at the center of the camp, they’re actually in the southern part, inside a stable. What’s more, you don’t even have to enter the camp to find them—you can simply circle around the outside and look for the building shown below.

Inside the stable, you’ll find a few horses. Once you mount one, the quest will be marked as complete. This mission can be completed fairly quickly if you focus solely on grabbing the horses, but we advise against taking that shortcut.

Should You Skip the Camp?

While the horses are crucial for the Reckoning quest, there’s more at stake here than just stealing them. Without spoiling too much, if you rush straight to the horses, you’ll miss out on two important events that can alter the outcome of the game. One involves rescuing a key individual, and the other gives closure to something Henry has been working toward since the first game. Trust us, it’s worth taking the time to explore the camp and experience all the quest has to offer.

Depending on your choices, the game’s ending will vary slightly, but overall, the outcome is largely the same. The choice is yours—whether you want to make the camp detour quick or explore more thoroughly. Plus, there’s plenty of loot available that will carry over into the post-game, so be sure to take advantage of it.
